Prices

Every home is quoted on its own.

There is no price list, and that is deliberate. Rates vary by area and by the work a place actually needs, so a number on a web page would be wrong for most people who read it. We come and look, then give you one straight figure.

Free, no obligation

The quote visit takes about fifteen minutes. You get a clear price before anything is agreed, and nothing to sign.

What changes the price

It depends on more than the number of bedrooms, which is why we will not pretend to price it from a dropdown. These are the things that actually move the figure.

Size and layout

How many rooms are in use, how many bathrooms, and how much floor there is to cover.

How often

A fortnightly clean has two weeks of living in it, so it takes a little longer than a weekly one.

Who is home

Children, pets and people working from home all make a real difference to the work.

Extras

Ironing, insides of windows, ovens and similar jobs are added to the time rather than priced separately.

Rates are not identical for every job or every road, so the honest answer is always the one we give you after seeing the place.

Paying

Money, plainly

When do I pay?

After the visit, by bank transfer. Regular customers usually settle monthly, which is less faff for everybody.

Why is there no price on the website?

Because it would be wrong for most people reading it. A three-bedroom house with two dogs is not the same job as a three-bedroom house without, and rates vary with the work involved. You get a firm number after the visit, and travel inside our area is included in it.

Do prices go up?

Rarely, and never without telling you well in advance in writing. Nobody likes finding out from an invoice.

Can you give me a rough idea over the phone?

We can talk it through, but we would rather not guess. Most homes take two to three hours a visit, and the visit is free, so it costs you nothing to get a real answer.

Is there a charge if I skip a week?

No, as long as you give us reasonable notice so the slot can be filled. Stopping altogether needs two weeks written notice. See the terms.
